Hi Friends!

I hope you’re doing well.

I enjoy reading Bible stories, seeing how God works and intervenes for his people, and relating this to my own life.

A few weeks ago, I read the book of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah was one of God’s prophets.

In Jeremiah 1:4, God tells Jeremiah that I knew you before I formed you in the womb. Before you were born, I set you apart. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

This tells us that God has a plan and purpose for our lives. He created each of us for a specific reason, so we should live according to God’s plan and purpose.

In Jeremiah 1:6, Jeremiah tells God, “I don’t know how to speak. I am too young.”

But God tells him, “Don’t say I’m too young. You must go to everyone I send you. Don’t be afraid of them because I am with you. I will rescue you. I put my words in your mouth. I appoint you over nations and kingdoms. So, get yourself ready! I have made you a fortified city to stand against the whole land. They will fight against you but not overcome you because I am with you and will rescue you.”

This is an encouraging thought!

We don’t need to be afraid to stand out and be who God called us to be. We don’t need to give excuses for not accomplishing what God put in our hearts to do. We should embrace it and thrive because God has equipped us to achieve all of the things that he created us for. Also, God has promised to take care of us and rescue us from any trouble that may come against us.

With that being said, let us pray!

Dear God,

Thank you for being so awesome. Thank you for creating us and setting us apart. Thank you for giving us different talents and abilities to accomplish your plan for our lives. Please don’t let us fear anything or anyone. Let us completely trust in you.

Please make us a fortified city so we can stand and not fall when faced with opposition.

Thank you for always being there for us and rescuing us in the face of trouble.

In Jesus’ name, we pray,

Amen

I hope this encourages you and enriches your life.

XO,

Dr. Rich 💋
