Me and My Future Husband Prayer 1: To Deny Ourselves

Hi Friends!

This is Day 1 of the Me and My Future Husband Prayer Series.

Let's jump right in!

Heavenly Father,

Please help me and my future husband to deny ourselves daily. 

It is not easy to set aside our own desires and plans, so we ask for your strength to do this. Help us to take up our crosses daily and follow you. Help us to live for you and not just for ourselves. 

Help us to live out Galatians 2:20, which says, we have been crucified with Christ and we no longer live but Christ lives in us. 

Bless us with self control and discipline. Help us to give up anything that hinders our disobedience to you. Let us not continue in sin. Please deliver us from our sins. 

Help us to live out Romans 12:1-2, which says we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to you. Let our bodies be holy and pleasing to you. 

Give us the ability to obey you even if it means sacrificing our own comfort. Let us live lives that reflect your character and love. 

In the name of Jesus, we pray.
