Me and My Future Husband Prayer 5: Self-Control

Hi Friends!

This is Day 5 of the Me and My Future Husband Prayer Series.

Heavenly Father,

Please bless me and my future husband to have self-control. Bless us both with discipline. Father, we need your help with self-control. We can not do it on our own. Please let the Holy Spirit empower us to have self-control. Help us to resist temptation and flee from sexual immorality. Let us submit our bodies and minds to you. Let us be vessels of honor that you can use. Let us be instruments of righteousness. When we face temptation, please help us to take the way of escape and not give in. Please help us regulate our emotions and not overreact. Keep our focus on you and your will for our lives. Strengthen us to walk in self-control and discipline in all areas of our lives. Please help us to always walk in obedience to you. Father, you are slow to anger and abounding in love. Please help us to be like you. Let kindness, gentleness, and compassion guide our responses when facing challenging circumstances and individuals.
